Johnson Shut-Ins State Park

Johnson's Shut Ins, known primarily for its pink granites and blue rhyolites that form the shut ins, offers more diversity in habitat than any other park in Missouri. Hiking trails take you through Buzzard Rock Hollow to the high point in the state at Taum Sauk Mountain State Park, or down the Ozark Trail. A Natural Area offers a view of the Shut-Ins and is wheelchair accessible. The park limits traffic to 100 vehicles and may be closed, especially on weekends.
